Edward Keating and Robert Owen
Edward Keating was a member of the House of Representatives from Colorado and Robert Owen was a member of the Senate and elected to speak on the behalf of Oklahoma. They were both a part of the Democratic Party. In addition, these two men felt very strongly on the same topic. They both believed the lack of child labor laws to ensure the safety of the kids was incredulous. Together, they created the first federal document to place limits on children in factories and promoted the boycott of goods produced in factories that did not abide by these laws.
Sadly, the life of Robert Owen ended at the age of ninety-one on July 19, 1947. Eighteen years later, Edward Keating died as well. Although this is true, the influence of these two men still remains today. America will never be able to forget the contributions made by these two very important men.
